Let us help you find clarity in making the right career choice.

What do you want to do after school? What is your career aspiration? High school students may be uncertain of the answer, and as the world of work is continuously evolving, and with numerous career possibilities available; it can be daunting and stressful to choose a career path to pursue.

This decision is made more difficult by subject choice decisions, which will allow for application to tertiary institutions to pursue diploma / degree studies needed for various professions. It is essential that students receive effective career guidance if they are to make wise and informed subject choices and career decisions.

Explore your unique traits in relation to suitability for specific careers.

To develop an accurate career identity and set meaningful career goals, it is essential for the individual to understand what they want from their career, what motivates them, and which skills and abilities can be brought to (or developed) in the work environment.

Natasha Gerber Industrial Psychologists will embark on a collaborative career guidance process with the individual, whereby their values, interests, personality factors, and talents / abilities and constraints are explored in relation to their potential suitability for a specific career; thereby equipping the individual with the necessary information to make wise and informed subject and career decisions.

We cater to a wide variety of clients.

Our career guidance process caters to a wide variety of clients, including:

  • Grade 8 and Grade 9 learners requiring guidance for subject-choice decisions;
  • Grade 10 students requiring further guidance with regard to their current subject choices / a change in their current subjects;
  • Grade 10, 11 and 12 students evaluating options for tertiary education and / or further training; and
  • Graduates seeking clarity on career decisions and post-graduate studies.

We help encourage, expand and provide focus to the career exploration process.

Natasha Gerber Industrial Psychologists’ career guidance process consists of a combination of psychometric assessments, as well as focused career guidance interviewing (narrative techniques) to encourage, expand and provide focus to the career exploration process, as well as to encourage self-exploration in relation to career, and career choice options. Our integrated approach – taking psychometric assessments, narrative information, and real-world opportunities into consideration – is aimed at empowering the individual to find a fit between their characteristics and the world of work.

It is important to remember that all career decisions remain the student’s responsibility; the assessments will provide insights into current areas of interest, personality, values and aptitude. The information provided by the assessment is a starting point and you will need to conduct further research in order to be able to make an informed subject, further education or career choice.
